Ondra Health Review: What Its GLP-1 Prices Actually Require You to Pay

Ondra advertises compounded semaglutide from about $96 a month and compounded tirzepatide from about $142. Those figures require annual prepayment through selected pharmacies—not monthly billing at the headline rate.

The most important number on Ondra Health’s pricing pages is not necessarily the largest type. Its advertised starting prices—approximately $96 per month for compounded semaglutide and $142 for compounded tirzepatide—are rounded monthly equivalents of annual plans costing $1,149 and $1,699 upfront. A person choosing actual monthly billing instead sees $149 or $219, respectively. That distinction makes Ondra a useful case study in reading a telehealth price as a payment obligation, rather than treating every monthly-looking figure as a monthly charge.

This documentary review examines Ondra’s published prices, included services, pharmacy restrictions and refund rules using sources consulted October 19, 2026. The platform documents access to compounded injectable medications through independent clinicians and pharmacies, with self-pay plans and several payment options. Its pricing detail is useful, but the checkout still matters: availability depends on the pharmacy, recurring plans can renew automatically, and cancellation rights change once a prescription reaches fulfillment. Our guide to understanding the first GLP-1 payment explains the broader distinction between an advertised rate and the amount initially collected.

Included services
Ondra says plans include consultation, medication, supplies and free shipping, with no membership fee and no price increase across doses. Laboratory costs are not established in the consulted material.

Long-plan restrictions
Six- and 12-month plans are available only through Hallandale Pharmacy and Vials RX. Optio RX’s monthly and two-month options exclude Puerto Rico.

Cancellation boundary
An order generally cannot be canceled after its prescription is sent to the pharmacy. Six- and 12-month prepayments have a specific early-cancellation refund formula rather than an unrestricted refund promise.

Start with the billing interval, not the headline

Ondra publishes five payment intervals for each medication. These are alternatives, not a requirement that everyone prepay a year. The table separates actual monthly charges from longer-plan totals. All prices concern the advertised compounded semaglutide or compounded tirzepatide programs, described as weekly subcutaneous self-injection. The published plan duration does not, by itself, establish the number of vials, their concentration or a complete shipment schedule.

The semaglutide page labels its monthly equivalents as rounded. The tirzepatide page likewise describes rounded rates and specifies that they are before discounts. Both say multi-month totals are paid upfront after prescribing. In other words, approximately $96 or $142 describes how an annual purchase is expressed—not what a month-to-month customer pays. Our explanation of monthly and prepaid billing provides a framework for comparing those different obligations.

Ondra’s FAQ says no introductory rate applies, but its homepage separately promotes $15 off a first three-month tirzepatide plan using ONDRA15. That is a first-plan promotion, not evidence of a continuing discount. The supplied material does not establish all promotional conditions or guarantee future renewal pricing. Before paying, obtain the actual total, selected interval and any next-charge information shown for your specific order.

What the bundled price covers—and what remains outside the quote

Ondra says each plan includes the provider consultation, prescribed medication, supplies and free shipping. It also states that prices remain flat across doses and that there is no membership fee. Those are meaningful inclusions when comparing an itemized prescription service with a bundled program: the advertised amount is not described as merely an access fee with medication purchased separately. Free shipping, however, is one included component of paid treatment, not a free-treatment offer.

The shipment is described as containing medication labeled with the pharmacy’s instructions, injection supplies, alcohol pads and discreet packaging. Ondra’s blog also says ongoing provider messaging is included in the monthly price without per-visit billing. That supports an expectation of messaging access, but the consulted material does not specify support hours or guarantee response times for ongoing clinical questions. The initial intake-review target should not be substituted for those missing service details.

Laboratory expenses are the clearest unresolved budget item. Ondra says testing requirements depend on individual health history; the sources do not establish whether required baseline or follow-up tests are included, separately billed or arranged elsewhere. Ask for that answer before treating the plan total as your complete care budget. Our guide to what program prices include explains why a bundled medication price and a complete care budget can differ.

Payment approval is not the same as a completed charge

Ondra does not currently accept insurance and describes all plans as out-of-pocket purchases. Its FAQ says HSA and FSA payments are accepted, alongside standard credit and debit cards. Acceptance of a payment method is not a determination of an individual account’s reimbursement or tax treatment. Someone expecting insurance to pay for the program should resolve that mismatch before enrolling rather than assume a prescription automatically creates an insurance-covered purchase.

The platform also advertises Klarna, Affirm and Afterpay at checkout. These can split the plan cost into installments, with availability, eligibility and terms determined by the financing company. Thus, a multi-month plan’s upfront price structure does not mean financing is unavailable. It does mean the financing agreement needs separate attention: do not assume its payment dates, charges or cancellation consequences are identical to Ondra’s treatment-plan terms.

According to the FAQ, an initial pending transaction is a temporary authorization hold that validates the payment method. Ondra says it finalizes the charge only after a licensed healthcare provider approves treatment and writes the prescription; if approval is declined, the hold is released. That is narrower than an unconditional promise that every attempted enrollment costs nothing. The cancellation FAQ separately describes a $25 nonrefundable consultation fee after intake review and prescription issuance.

The pharmacy can determine which price is available

Ondra’s lowest monthly equivalents are conditional on more than willingness to prepay. Its FAQ limits six- and 12-month plans to Hallandale Pharmacy and Vials RX. Optio RX supplies monthly and two-month options in all 50 states but not Puerto Rico; quarterly plans are available through other partners. A reader should therefore compare the plan actually available through the assigned pharmacy, not simply select the lowest figure from the general price list.

The platform says both clinical groups serve all 50 states, while Wasef Health, PC also serves eligible patients in Puerto Rico. Pharmacy availability varies. Patients may request a preferred pharmacy during intake, but state, medication, prescription and current availability affect the options, and the provider and pharmacy make final prescribing and fulfillment decisions. Nationwide clinical access consequently does not establish nationwide access to every pharmacy, formulation or payment interval.

Formulations also differ. Ondra’s directory describes no-additive options at Hallandale and Quaker Community/New Life RX, while other listings include B3, B6, B12 or glycine. Those descriptions do not establish added clinical benefit. The directory marks Boudreaux’s and the Quaker/New Life option linked to Hyalo as temporarily unavailable. A listed partner is therefore not proof of a currently selectable product; confirm the actual pharmacy, formulation and price together.

Who reviews the intake and who carries out the prescription

Ondra’s homepage calls it a LegitScript-certified telehealth practice and names Wasef Health, PC and Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC as care organizations. Its terms describe a different legal role: a nonclinical platform, with clinical services provided by independent licensed healthcare providers and prescriptions fulfilled by independent pharmacies. These statements are not interchangeable. For the buyer, the practical point is to identify the treating organization and dispensing pharmacy, not assume Ondra itself performs every service.

The online intake collects health history, current medications, BMI and weight-loss goals, and Ondra estimates completion takes about three minutes. Most patients reportedly do not need an in-person appointment to begin, although the reviewing clinician may require a phone or video visit depending on location and care needs. Terms require adulthood—18 or the local age of majority if higher—lawful service availability, contractual capacity and accurate, complete information.

The provider FAQ describes commonly used BMI thresholds of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition. Its eligibility questionnaire describes BMI 27–29.9 as a standard pathway without stating the accompanying-condition requirement there. Neither page guarantees approval; both leave appropriateness to clinical review. This discrepancy is worth clarifying before payment, especially because a quick questionnaire result is not the same as a completed evaluation or issued prescription.

Renewal and cancellation change the meaning of a prepaid discount

Ondra’s terms say recurring plans automatically renew unless checkout states otherwise. Customers are responsible for canceling before the applicable renewal deadline, but the supplied sources do not establish one universal notice period. Cancellation is available through patient-portal account settings or care@ondra.health. Before authorizing a recurring plan, save the checkout terms and ask which date and deadline control the next charge; simply deciding not to use more medication does not cancel billing.

For an individual order, the FAQ permits cancellation before the prescription is sent to the pharmacy and says cancellation is unavailable once it has been sent. If intake has been reviewed and a prescription issued, the $25 nonrefundable consultation fee applies. The broader policy generally makes charges final after approval and transmission to the pharmacy. Monthly and quarterly charges already processed are not prorated for unused time, subject to the policy’s legal exceptions.

Six- and 12-month prepaid plans have an explicit exception: early-cancellation refunds equal the amount paid minus the regular quarterly price, in effect when purchased, for each three-month supply already sent to the pharmacy. The prepaid discount is removed from those supplies, and an already-transmitted quarterly supply is nonrefundable even if unused. This is not a straight refund of unused months. Our guide to cancellation and refunds explains why stopping renewal and recovering money are separate questions.

Shipping promises need a dispatch-versus-arrival check

Ondra says providers aim to review and respond to an intake within 24 hours. Its FAQ then says medication typically ships within two to five business days after approval, whereas the pharmacy directory describes delivery within two to five business days after approval and transmission. These are different milestones. The documents do not support combining them into a guaranteed arrival date, and the clinical-review target is not a general customer-service response guarantee.

Delivery problems carry short reporting windows. For damaged, defective or materially incorrect orders, Ondra requires contact at care@ondra.health within 24 hours of delivery, with identifying details, an explanation and relevant package, label and product photos. A package marked delivered but missing must likewise be reported within 24 hours of the recorded delivery time. The policy allows review with the pharmacy and fulfillment partners before deciding whether replacement, credit or refund is appropriate; none is automatic.

Refrigeration concerns add a separate safety responsibility. FDA advises not using an injectable GLP-1 drug that arrives warm or with insufficient refrigeration and contacting the provider or dispensing pharmacy. That advice should not be confused with a promise of a particular commercial remedy. For routine follow-up, Ondra’s portal at care.ondra.health supports provider messages, shipment tracking, refill or dose-adjustment requests and account management, but the supplied sources do not establish continuous monitoring.

A complete quote still needs a product-level conversation

Ondra documents access to compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, not simply discounted versions of an FDA-approved product. FDA explains that compounded preparations are not FDA approved and do not undergo its premarket review for safety, effectiveness and quality. FDA recommends compounded drugs when an individual’s medical needs cannot be met by an approved drug, with a prescription and a state-licensed pharmacy. Nonapproval alone does not establish clinical inequivalence, nor does a platform’s certification claim establish product approval.

Ondra acknowledges that the branded-drug trial results displayed on its site did not study compounded formulations. Those findings therefore cannot establish outcomes for its pharmacy preparations or vitamin blends. For a cost decision, ask the clinician what exact preparation is proposed, why it fits the clinical need and what follow-up is expected. NIDDK identifies benefits, side effects, other medicines, health conditions and costs as matters for clinician discussion—not questions that an advertised monthly equivalent can resolve.

Questions & answers

Can I actually pay Ondra $96 or $142 each month?

Those are rounded annual-plan equivalents, not standalone monthly charges. The documented annual totals are $1,149 for compounded semaglutide and $1,699 for compounded tirzepatide, paid upfront after prescribing through eligible pharmacy channels. Actual monthly plans are $149 and $219. Financing may offer installments, but its availability and terms are determined separately at checkout.

Sources: [8] [11] [4]
Does the listed price increase if my prescribed dose changes?

Ondra says prices stay flat across doses and plans include consultation, medication, supplies and shipping without a membership fee. That is a published pricing statement, not a guarantee that every formulation or pharmacy is available to every patient. Confirm the selected product and plan in writing, especially if a pharmacy change affects access to a longer payment interval.

Sources: [4] [3]
Will I be charged if the clinician does not approve treatment?

Ondra says the initial pending transaction is an authorization hold, released if treatment is not approved. The completed charge follows approval and prescription issuance. A different situation arises when a prescription has been issued and the patient then cancels before pharmacy transmission: the FAQ specifies a $25 nonrefundable consultation fee. Ask which stage your order has reached before requesting cancellation.

Sources: [4]
Can I get the unused portion of an annual plan back?

The policy provides an early-cancellation formula for six- and 12-month prepayments, not an automatic unused-month refund. It subtracts the purchase-time regular quarterly price for each three-month supply already sent to the pharmacy. The prepaid discount does not apply to those supplies. Ask for a written calculation showing transmissions, the applicable quarterly price and the resulting refund before relying on an estimate.

Sources: [7]
Can patients in Puerto Rico use the same plans?

Ondra says eligible Puerto Rico patients can receive care through Wasef Health, PC, but that does not establish access to every pharmacy or price. Optio RX excludes Puerto Rico, including its two-month option, and other directory listings have geographic restrictions or temporary unavailability. Confirm the pharmacy, formulation, shipping availability and payment interval for the actual Puerto Rico order.

Sources: [4] [3]
Are laboratory tests and continuing support included?

Ondra says ongoing provider messaging is included in its monthly price, and the portal supports clinical messages and refill requests. Laboratory requirements depend on health history, but the consulted sources do not establish laboratory pricing or coverage. They also do not specify ongoing-message response guarantees or support hours. Ask both who arranges any required tests and who bills for them.

Our assessment

Ondra provides useful price detail: actual plan totals, several billing intervals, stated inclusions and a specific early-cancellation formula for long prepayments. Its no-membership-fee and flat-across-dose statements make the advertised bundle easier to interpret. The principal trade-off is that the lowest monthly equivalents require substantially larger upfront purchases through selected pharmacies, while refund value depends on supplies already transmitted for fulfillment. Before paying, obtain a written record of the assigned pharmacy and formulation, total collected, renewal deadline, laboratory responsibility and cancellation calculation. The unresolved shipping language and support timelines also deserve clarification. Ondra is best understood here as a documented self-pay platform with conditional prepaid pricing—not as a verified clinical outcome, an assured lowest-cost option or a guarantee of prescription approval.
