What a GLP-1 Program Price Actually Includes

Consultations, medication, lab work, shipping and support can sit inside one advertised price—or arrive as separate bills. Six programs show why the contents matter more than a cheapest-price ranking.

A GLP-1 price can describe several different purchases: access to a clinician, a medication shipment, a subscription with lab testing, or a discounted first payment. Those are not interchangeable units. A membership that excludes medication should not be placed beside a medication-inclusive plan as though both buy the same thing. The useful comparison begins with a receipt-shaped question: What services and products will this payment actually cover, and what expenses can still follow?

Official materials from CoreAge Rx, Ro, Enhance.MD, Success by Sesame, Walgreens and Found illustrate these differences. Sources were consulted October 19, 2026; that does not mean every page was updated then. This guide compares documented inclusions rather than ranking prices or recommending treatment. It also separates clear terms from unresolved contradictions, because a detailed list of benefits is only useful when the billing interval, pharmacy channel and refund boundaries are understandable.

Identify the purchase before comparing the price

Start by sorting the offer into medication-inclusive care, membership-only care or individual visits. Ro and Sesame separate medication from their program subscriptions. Walgreens separates medication from visit fees. Enhance.MD's main GLP-1 subscriptions describe medication and care together, while Found has different structures for compounded and branded products. CoreAge Rx advertises medication plans with supplies and shipping, but the supplied materials do not establish the quantities or conditions behind its minimum advertised monthly prices.

This distinction prevents a misleading comparison before it starts. “Access to medication” can mean access to evaluation and prescribing, not payment for the drug itself. Likewise, included care does not necessarily mean unlimited appointments. The table below identifies the main documented structures, not complete quotations or a price ranking. For the amount due at enrollment, use the same separation when examining why the first payment can differ from the monthly headline.

Ro BodyPlan, messaging, check-ins, coaching, insurance concierge and labs if necessaryMedication is separate

Consultation costs depend on how care is delivered

Walgreens makes the visit component relatively explicit: initial visits start at $49, while follow-up chat visits and additional video visits are $49 each. Its general pathway begins with a questionnaire and, if qualified, an on-demand video consultation. Most subsequent visits are described as chat-based. That structure means a modest entry fee is not a documented all-inclusive ongoing-care price. The supplied materials do not establish how many paid follow-ups an individual will need or whether lab expenses will arise.

Found illustrates a different split. With insurance, synchronous video visits are required, including before each refill, with a visit copay described as typically around $30 in addition to the plan price. Cash-pay care is asynchronous text-based in most cases, without a separate visit copay. CoreAge Rx estimates initial medical feedback in approximately 24 hours, but notes that some states require video or live chat. Paying for evaluation at any of these services does not guarantee a prescription.

Read the membership price alongside its collection schedule

Ro advertises a $39 first membership month, followed by $149 monthly on its monthly plan. Its lowest advertised ongoing equivalent, $74 per month, requires annual prepayment. Other options are $99 per month equivalent prepaid every three months and $89 per month equivalent prepaid every six months. Medication remains additional under these structures. The meaningful comparison is therefore not just the displayed monthly equivalent, but the amount collected now, the services it buys and the timing of the next collection.

Sesame advertises subscriptions starting at $59 per month with an annual subscription and a $99 month-to-month option; some clinicians charge more. Its program page also describes the monthly charge as collected every 28 days, despite elsewhere saying every month. Enhance.MD similarly uses month labels alongside four-week-based schedules: Core displays $249 per month billed every four weeks, with $50 off the first order, while longer plans have different rates and intervals. Consult the distinction between monthly, four-week and prepaid billing before treating these labels as equivalent.

Lab work is one of the clearest differences between bundles

Ro says necessary lab testing is included in membership; a provider may request a metabolic test after reviewing health information. Enhance.MD supplies more detail about its advertised process: baseline testing at Quest includes a comprehensive metabolic panel, TSH, lipids and hemoglobin A1c. Its process page places labs before consultation, and its FAQ describes an email to schedule video care after results arrive. Core's subscription also specifies metabolic lab testing every six months, rather than merely promising unspecified access to testing.

Sesame's inclusion has a geographic boundary: covered lab work must be completed at Quest facilities, excluding those in AZ, HI, ND, NJ, NY, OK, RI, SD and WY. In those states, laboratory fees are additional. Found excludes applicable labs from its compounded plan, while the supplied CoreAge Rx policy permits requests for lab results without establishing an included testing benefit. Walgreens' supplied documents do not establish lab requirements or prices. Ask about the actual test, location and payer—not simply whether the program “uses labs.”

The pharmacy channel can change what remains included

An included medication benefit may depend on using the program's pharmacy arrangement. Enhance.MD lists Tru Meds Rx, Strive Pharmacy and Pharmacy Hub in its FAQ, while its terms name a partly different partner group. It permits a patient-selected pharmacy, but says medication will then be billed directly to the patient. Found likewise limits its compounded medication inclusion to fulfillment through a pharmacy it facilitates. Its branded plan instead covers prescribing access and membership, with medication billed separately through the chosen or eligible manufacturer-linked channel.

CoreAge Rx requires clarification before relying on pharmacy flexibility: its FAQ says prescriptions must use its affiliated network, while its terms allow requesting another pharmacy by email before completing the order. Sesame names Truepill as a delivery partner and permits local-pharmacy fulfillment; its reduced cash-price Wegovy pathway directs patients to NovoCare. These are material purchasing conditions. A quote should name the dispensing channel and explain whether moving the prescription changes the package, as discussed in separate program and pharmacy bills.

Shipping, supplies and arrival are different promises

CoreAge Rx advertises supplies and free shipping; its policy more precisely includes standard prescription shipping unless checkout discloses otherwise. It estimates arrival approximately two to three business days after pharmacy shipment, separate from medical review, documentation and preparation. Lost or damaged packages receive a case review and replacement or reshipment when applicable—not an unconditional replacement promise. Enhance.MD Core advertises free shipping and medication delivery every four weeks, while Advanced explicitly lists syringes and alcohol pads among included supplies.

Ro says prescriptions sent to its own or partner pharmacies ship within a week once prescribed; that is dispatch, not guaranteed arrival. The supplied Ro and Sesame materials do not settle shipping fees. Walgreens' general delivery options apply only to eligible prescriptions and do not establish GLP-1-specific delivery eligibility or cost. For injectable deliveries, FDA explicitly recommends not using a product that arrives warm or inadequately refrigerated and contacting the provider or dispensing pharmacy. A shipping inclusion does not resolve temperature concerns.

Support benefits need a human role and a response expectation

Ro documents unlimited provider messaging, regular check-ins, individual coaching and tracking tools, but does not establish a message-response deadline. Sesame includes unlimited messaging and telehealth visits, with refill requests described as possible through provider messages. Enhance.MD includes ongoing care, wellness coaching and a portal for treatment information and lab results; exact follow-up frequency remains unspecified. These are meaningful benefits, but “unlimited messaging” describes permission to send messages, not necessarily immediate clinical availability or a fixed number of scheduled consultations.

CoreAge Rx illustrates why the wording beneath a heading matters: a “24/7 Provider Support” heading is explained through round-the-clock customer support availability. Its help center directs medical questions to the portal's doctor-contact function and billing or technical issues to support@coreagerx.com. Found's 24/7 Aimee access refers to an AI companion, not continuous human care. Walgreens separately offers 24/7 pharmacy-expert chat, which may involve waiting and is distinct from its paid clinician follow-up chat visits; availability alone does not establish a zero fee.

Insurance help and refund protection are separate benefits

Insurance coordination does not mean the entire package is insured. Ro's membership is not covered by insurance, and its concierge currently supports only Wegovy pen, Zepbound autoinjector pen and Ozempic. Found's insurance-based compounded pricing reflects clinical-care coverage; its consent makes patients responsible for compounded medication charges and treats the subscription as noncovered. Walgreens offers prior-authorization help for eligible commercially insured patients but does not accept insurance for Weight Management visits. Each component needs its own coverage answer.

Also distinguish cancellation from recovery of money already paid. CoreAge Rx's FAQ promises a full refund after prescription denial, but its policy retains an applicable $50–$100 consultation fee and makes orders final after approval and pharmacy transmission, even before shipment. Sesame's general terms require cancellation at least 48 hours before renewal processing, despite a less specific program-page instruction. A written quote should identify both the next-charge deadline and current-order refund rules. Use the cancellation and refund distinction to keep those questions separate.

Questions & answers

Does Ro's $39 first month include medication?

No. It is an introductory membership price. Medication is separate, and the ongoing monthly-plan membership is $149. The lower $74 monthly equivalent requires annual prepayment. Ro includes necessary labs, coaching and provider support in membership, so compare those services separately from the eventual medication quote.

What should I confirm about CoreAge Rx before paying?

Request the exact medication, formulation, supply quantity, initial collection and renewal choice in writing. Its materials conflict about when payment occurs, automatic rebilling, pharmacy choice and denial refunds. The policy also says orders become nonrefundable after 30 calendar days, even if incomplete or unshipped, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Does Enhance.MD include both labs and injection supplies?

Its main subscriptions document metabolic testing every six months and essential supplies; Advanced specifically names syringes and alcohol pads. Confirm the selected plan's collection schedule: product pages use four-, 12-, 24- and 48-week billing intervals, while the general FAQ describes automatic renewal every 28 days. Those descriptions are not fully reconciled.

Are Sesame labs included wherever I live?

No. Its Quest inclusion excludes facilities in AZ, HI, ND, NJ, NY, OK, RI, SD and WY, where lab charges are additional. Confirm your intended facility before budgeting. The program's subscription also excludes medication, and the clinician you choose may charge more than the advertised starting subscription rate.

Sources: [23]
Does Walgreens' no-subscription model mean follow-up is free?

No. Initial visits start at $49, and follow-up chat visits or additional video visits are $49 each. Medication is separate. Its pharmacy-expert chat is a different service from prescriber follow-up. The supplied documentation does not establish lab inclusion, GLP-1 shipping charges or a complete ongoing-care budget.

Is Found's compounded plan really all-inclusive?

It includes compounded medication, clinical care and membership, but not applicable labs. Insurance-based care may add copays, coinsurance or deductible expenses, and the insurance pathway requires video visits before refills. Found also documents a $30 missed-appointment or late-cancellation fee when a scheduled consultation is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice.

Our assessment

The strongest comparison is a written, component-by-component quote, not the smallest monthly headline. Medication-inclusive bundles can simplify budgeting, but exclusions, pharmacy restrictions and collection intervals still matter. Separate memberships or visit-based services can make individual charges more visible, yet leave the total dependent on medication, follow-up and testing. Neither structure is inherently better value. Ask what is included now, what can be billed later and what happens at renewal. Price also does not establish clinical quality or product equivalence. FDA recommends compounded drugs when an individual's medical needs cannot be met by an approved drug; compounded preparations are not FDA approved, but nonapproval alone does not establish clinical inequivalence. Choose a financially understandable arrangement alongside—not instead of—a clinician's treatment assessment.
