A GLP-1 program’s smallest advertised number may not be the price of treatment. It might cover access to a clinician, require a longer prepaid plan, or apply only to an introductory medication presentation. Meanwhile, the pharmacy can collect a separate payment on a different schedule. The useful starting question is not simply “What does this cost per month?” It is “Who collects each payment, what does it buy, and when can that amount change?”
The provider documents consulted October 19, 2026, illustrate several billing models, not one industry-wide arrangement. Ro and Success by Sesame expressly separate membership from medication. Walgreens separates visits from prescriptions. Found offers both bundled compounded plans and separate-medication branded plans, while Enhance.MD describes an outside-pharmacy exception to its included-medication offering. CoreAge Rx advertises no membership fees but has conflicting payment explanations. These sources were consulted on that date; that does not mean every page was updated then.

- Ro: membership is not medication
- Ro Body advertises $39 for the first month, then $149 monthly on the monthly plan; the advertised rate as low as $74/month requires annual prepayment. Medication is additional.Sources: [2]
- Sesame: starting price has a plan condition
- Success by Sesame starts at $59/month with an annual subscription, excluding medication. The month-to-month option is advertised at $99, but another passage specifies billing every 28 days.Sources: [22]
- Walgreens: follow-up can generate another fee

Identify the billing model before comparing numbers
Separate bills are not automatically duplicate bills. A program may collect payment for evaluation, messaging and ongoing care while a pharmacy collects payment for the prescribed product. Sesame says it is not a pharmacy; its affiliated clinical practices operate independently. Walgreens similarly assigns clinical responsibility to independent medical practices rather than its administrative services company. Those organizational distinctions help explain why a single branded website need not mean a single seller or charge.
The table separates documented models without turning them into combined treatment prices. Each still needs a patient-specific quote. Ask whether medication is included through the particular pharmacy you will use, whether clinician visits generate additional charges, and whether laboratory work is excluded. Our guide to what program prices include provides another way to organize those questions.
| Program or plan | Program-side charge covers | Medication-side distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Ro Body | Membership with clinical support and other listed services | Medication is not included |
| Success by Sesame | Subscription with visits, messaging and ongoing care | Medication is additional |
| Walgreens Weight Management | Individually priced visits; no subscription required | Medication is additional |
| Found branded GLP-1 plan | Prescription services and membership | Medication is billed separately |
| Enhance.MD Core | Subscription described as including medication and care | Choosing an outside pharmacy generates direct medication billing |
Ro: distinguish the enrollment offer from both ongoing bills
Ro Body’s $39 first month is a membership offer, not a medication price. The ongoing monthly plan costs $149/month. Other advertised membership options are $99/month equivalent prepaid every three months, $89/month equivalent prepaid every six months, and as low as $74/month with annual prepayment. Membership includes a personalized plan, insurance concierge, individual messaging, check-ins, coaching and lab testing if necessary. These services do not include the drug itself.
Ro separately advertises oral Wegovy, containing semaglutide, from $149/month for new patients on lower-dose presentations for a limited time; it is cash-pay only. Its injectable Wegovy pen starts at $199/month under similarly limited new-patient, lower-dose terms. Prices increase for higher-dose presentations. Do not pair either starting drug price with the lowest membership equivalent and describe the result as an ordinary monthly plan. Ro also promises a $39 refund for ineligibility while elsewhere saying membership is charged only if eligible; the exact collection sequence needs clarification.
Sesame: the provider, laboratory and pharmacy can affect the quote
Success by Sesame advertises a subscription starting at $59/month with an annual subscription, excluding medication. Its month-to-month option is $99, although the same page describes that option as billed in advance every 28 days elsewhere. Individual providers set their own prices and may charge more than the advertised rate. Included services encompass telehealth visits, unlimited messaging and ongoing care from the chosen provider—not simply permission to request a prescription.
Laboratory inclusion has a geographic boundary: the program includes work at Quest Diagnostics except its facilities in AZ, HI, ND, NJ, NY, OK, RI, SD and WY, where lab fees are additional. Pharmacy channels matter too. Sesame directs patients seeking reduced cash-price Wegovy to NovoCare. Its oral Wegovy page lists a month’s supply of 1.5 mg or 4 mg tablets at $149 and 9 mg or 25 mg tablets at $299, separate from subscription charges. Those presentation-specific figures should not be treated as one flat medication price.
Walgreens: no subscription does not mean follow-up is included
Walgreens Weight Management uses a visit-based model: initial visits start at $49, and follow-up chat visits and additional video visits are $49 each. Insurance is not accepted for these visits, although the service offers prior-authorization support for eligible commercially insured patients. The initial general pathway involves a questionnaire and, if qualified, an on-demand video visit. Most later visits are described as chat-based. Budgeting only for the first appointment would omit documented potential follow-up charges.
Walgreens also gives unusually specific supply definitions. Its oral Wegovy cash offer is $149/month for 1.5 mg, $199 for 4 mg, and $299 for 9 mg or 25 mg, each a bottle of 30 tablets for 30 days. For eligible self-paying patients new to Wegovy injections, the offer through December 31, 2026, is $199 per fill for the first two fills, limited to 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg presentations, then $349 for subsequent fills. Each injectable fill covers 28 days. Visit costs remain separate.
Found: “with insurance” does not erase other responsibilities
Found’s branded GLP-1 plan separates membership and prescription services from medication. Its one-month plan lists $89 with insurance or $149 cash-pay, billed every four weeks. Found’s offer terms exclude people with government insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE and MediCal, from these insurance rates. A separate Medicare offering is documented, but its relationship to those terms needs clarification; it does not establish eligibility for the quoted insurance rate. Longer-term rates are lower, but the commercial page ties starting prices to 12-month upfront payment while the terms describe four-week billing. Resolve the initial collection and duration in writing. Branded prescriptions may go to a chosen pharmacy or, when eligible, NovoCare or LillyDirect; the latter two channels are described as cash-pay only.
Found’s compounded plans instead include clinical care, medication and membership, while applicable labs remain excluded. Its insurance-price explanation refers to coverage for clinical care—not insurance payment for compounded medication. Insured care requires synchronous video visits, including before refills, with a separate copay described as typically around $30. Cash-pay care is usually asynchronous text-based care without a separate visit copay. Found’s billing consent also lists a $30 missed-appointment or late-cancellation fee when notice is under 24 hours. These differences make the plan label essential to any comparison.
Bundled offers still need a pharmacy-specific explanation
Enhance.MD Core describes four weeks of compounded semaglutide, ongoing care, six-monthly metabolic testing, essential supplies, coaching and platform content within its subscription, with free shipping. Its $212/month advertised rate belongs to a plan labeled 12 months and billed every 48 weeks; the one-month option is $249, billed every four weeks, with $50 off the first order. The longer plan advertises 15% savings plus $100 off the first order. Enhance.MD’s general FAQ also says membership automatically renews every 28 days; the documents do not explain how that schedule applies to longer billing plans. Confirm the initial collection, renewal interval and renewal amount at checkout. An outside-pharmacy choice brings direct medication billing, but the evidence does not establish how the program charge changes.
CoreAge Rx advertises compounded semaglutide from $79/month and compounded tirzepatide from $129/month, with the same price at every dose, supplies included and free shipping. Its semaglutide page says there are no membership fees. However, another homepage block advertises compounded GLP-1s from $99/month, and conditions establishing the minimum prices and supply quantities remain unclear. Its FAQ requires affiliated pharmacies, while its terms permit requesting a chosen pharmacy before ordering. Neither discrepancy should be resolved by assuming the most favorable price or pharmacy arrangement.
Keep insurance approval and payment calendars separate
Ro’s insurance concierge currently supports Wegovy pen, Zepbound autoinjector pen and Ozempic—not every product in its catalog. Insurance does not cover Ro Body membership. Ro estimates one to three weeks for coverage coordination and separately one to two weeks for insurer prior-authorization review. Neither establishes a delivery date. Ro says prescriptions through its or partner pharmacies ship within a week once prescribed; that is dispatch, not arrival. These distinctions matter when membership, insurance and pharmacy timelines do not align.
Insurance status can also restrict access rather than merely change a copay. Ro says Medicaid and some other government-funded plans currently make patients ineligible, while certain Medicare or TRICARE patients may qualify for cash-pay options. Sesame’s marketing describes access without insurance, but its telemedicine terms require certification that the user is not a federal healthcare-program beneficiary. Confirm the rule applicable to your route. Use a dated payment calendar alongside our explanation of four-week and prepaid billing, rather than treating every “month” as interchangeable.
Before paying, separate stopping renewal from recovering money
Cancellation is not a refund promise. Sesame’s program page allows self-cancellation before the next cycle, while general terms require email or phone cancellation at least 48 hours before renewal processing. Those terms deny prorated refunds for the current term. CoreAge Rx’s FAQ promises a full refund if prescribing is not approved, but its policy retains any applicable $50–$100 consultation fee. That policy also makes orders final after approval and pharmacy transmission, even before shipping, and generally nonrefundable after 30 calendar days even if incomplete.
Ask each seller what happens to its own charge if the other part of treatment cannot proceed. Request the checkout terms, pharmacy identity, exact product and supply period, first collection, next collection and cancellation deadline. Our cancellation and refund guide helps distinguish these events. Price also cannot establish clinical suitability: FDA recommends compounded drugs only when an individual’s medical needs cannot be met by an approved drug. They are not FDA approved, which alone does not establish inequivalence. If an injectable arrives warm or insufficiently refrigerated, FDA advises not using it and contacting the provider or pharmacy.
Questions & answers
Does Ro’s lowest membership price mean I can pay that amount monthly?
No. The advertised rate as low as $74/month requires annual prepayment. Ro’s ongoing monthly membership is $149/month after the $39 first-month offer. Medication is separate under either arrangement.
Does Sesame’s injectable Wegovy promotion reduce the subscription fee?
No. The promotion is medication-only: $199/month for the first two consecutive months for new, authorized US self-pay patients using the 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg presentations, then an advertised $349/month. It runs November 17, 2025, through December 31, 2026, and excludes enrollment in federal or state programs with prescription coverage.
Is Walgreens pharmacy chat the same as a paid follow-up visit?
No. Walgreens separately describes 24/7 pharmacy-expert chat and $49 Weight Management follow-up chat visits. Pharmacy-chat availability does not establish a zero fee or immediate prescriber access; the pharmacy page warns that waits may occur and that chat is not for emergencies.
Does Found’s insurance price mean my compounded medication is covered?
No. Found attributes that pricing to insurance coverage for clinical care. Its consent makes patients responsible for compounded GLP-1 charges and says not to submit those amounts to insurance. Visit copays, coinsurance or deductibles may still apply.
What should I ask Enhance.MD before using my own pharmacy?
Ask for the revised program charge and a separate pharmacy quote. Its FAQ permits a chosen pharmacy with direct medication billing, but the supplied documents do not explain whether or how the subscription price is adjusted when medication comes from outside its network.
When does CoreAge Rx collect the medication payment?
The FAQ gives conflicting explanations: payment before medical review to secure pricing and a pharmacy-queue position, and medication billing when shipped. Ask support@coreagerx.com to confirm the actual sequence and refund deductions before paying; do not assume either passage settles the conflict.
Our assessment
Separate billing can make responsibilities clearer: one payment buys care, another buys medication. It can also make an attractive headline price incomplete. Bundles simplify some comparisons but still have pharmacy, laboratory and billing-period boundaries. The strongest basis for a decision is a written, product-specific quote that identifies each collector, each included service, the actual payment interval and the consequences of cancellation. Use the personal budget workbook to record those terms without combining unlike periods or assuming introductory prices continue. An unresolved contradiction is a reason to seek clarification before paying—not evidence that the cheapest interpretation will apply.
